Middle School Girls’ Basketball Team Secures Historic Third-Place Finish!
Our middle school girls’ basketball team wrapped up an unforgettable season, making history at the OSLS Annual Middle School Basketball Tournament by securing third place—a milestone that hasn’t happened in years!
The tournament started with a strong 25-12 victory over Heritage, sending the team to the semifinals against a tough Libertas squad. Despite a hard-fought battle, they fell short with a 17-25 loss. Though disappointed, the girls quickly regrouped for the third-place matchup against WMAES. It was a game for the books—fast-paced, intense, and down to the wire. In the final second, they clinched an electrifying 22-20 win, securing their spot on the podium!
This team’s success wasn’t just about one tournament—it was the result of months of hard work, determination, and growth. Finishing the season with a 7-4 record—their best in three years— these girls showed resilience, teamwork, and heart.
A huge shoutout to Head Coach Mark Reichelt and Assistant Coach Skyler Kammaraad for their leadership and dedication to helping these athletes grow both on and off the court.
